Juvéderm® is a collection of FDA-approved dermal fillers made with hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in the skin and helps maintain hydration and volume. These fillers are commonly used to restore lost volume, smooth lines and wrinkles, and enhance facial contours for a refreshed, natural-looking appearance.

Juvéderm® fillers can be used in areas such as the cheeks, lips, jawline, chin, and around the mouth. Results are visible immediately after treatment and can last from several months up to a year or longer, depending on the specific product used and individual factors.

Treatments are performed by our expert team of providers and are customizable based on facial structure, goals, and skin needs.

Your Juvéderm® treatment typically begins with a consultation to review your goals and determine the best treatment plan for you. The treatment area will be cleansed, and a topical numbing agent may be applied to help minimize discomfort.

The injections themselves usually take about 15–30 minutes, depending on the areas treated. You may feel mild pressure or pinching during the procedure. After treatment, it’s normal to experience temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising at the injection sites.

Most patients are able to return to normal activities the same day, though your provider may recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, or excessive heat for a short period of time. Results are often visible right away and continue to improve as swelling settles over the following days to weeks. It takes 4-6 weeks to fully heal.

Restylane® is a collection of dermal fillers used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). It is also indicated for lip augmentation. Within the Restylane® family, Lyft is used for cheek enhancement, Silk for lip augmentation, and Restylane Refyne and Defyne for smoothing of smile and laugh lines around the mouth and nose. We use these products to address crepey skin, thin lips, scars, frown lines, and facial volume loss.

If you are frustrated by fine lines or deep facial creases, thinning lips, or mid-face volume loss, then the Restylane® family of dermal fillers may be for you. Potential patients should be in overall good health, understand the benefits and potential risks, and hold reasonable expectations for their results. We can cover benefits, risks, and expectations during your initial consultation.

Restylane® is injected using a very small, fine needle. Treatment sessions usually take about 30 minutes and can be done from our office. These injections are not considered painful because they contain Lidocaine, a local anesthetic. However, we may use an additional local or topical anesthetic to make you feel even more comfortable.

After a filler treatment, you should:

• Avoid alcohol and excessive salt for 48 hours. If you’ve had your lips filled, avoid spicy foods for 48 hours. 
• No excessive heat, sun, or saunas for 48 hours. 
• No strenuous exercise for 24 hours. 
• Unless specifically instructed by your provider, do not massage or rub injected areas. 
• Be gentle when cleansing your face. 
• Apply makeup very gently for the next 48 hours. 
• You may use Tylenol or Arnica.
• Wear SPF 30 or higher.
