Hands up: Nail art makes you the coolest at the party (or the office!)

Dermatology and Skin Health is serious about dermatology. Skin Health Medi-Spa, the spa beneath our Dover dermatology offices, is serious, too. But when holidays come, Skin Health is serious about FUN.

Meet Kaitlin Daniels. She’s been a nail tech and stylist with the spa for more than two years and has been practicing nail art for more than four years.

When you check out Kaitlin’s nails, don’t expect nearly half the fun that she can create: “I have no color on my own nails. I typically wear no color because my hands are in product all day long. It would ruin my nails.”

Kaitlin can, however, work wonders on your nails. She designs everything from JAWS themed nails (eek!) to the Minions from “Despicable Me.” Perfect for Halloween are her pumpkin nails (Boo!)

Kaitlin says that Christmas is definitely her clients’ favorite holiday for nail art, “but lately, we’ve been getting a lot of Halloween requests, too.”

Best of all, you can show up to the spa (have you been? It’s so very relaxing and cool!) with a concept. Or, if you don’t have a concept, spend some time with Kaitlin clicking through her Pinterest account for Halloween ideas aplenty. You want Jack o’lanterns? No problem. How about the guy from “Nightmare Before Christmas?” Yes! You’re dressing up as a Ninja Turtle? Here come Leonardo, Michelangelo (and what’s his name?)

Kaitlin says while nail designs are whimsical, they aren’t too popular with the wee set, “the kids are more into glitter than anything,” she laughs.

And, guess what?

Kaitlin says there are still openings for nail art appointments. She’ll have your nails orange and scary just in time for Halloween.
